LED Flood and Area
Before starting your parking lot or commercial lighting project, a lot of thought and preparation should go into the planning. Things like regulations, including city/state restrictions such as Dark Sky or lighting trespass ordinances should be evaluated . These type of things dictate the type and style of your lighting proposals for your customers. LED wattage and pole heights, including pole spacing are very important but you have to know whether you can use the LED stationary shoebox lights or fully adjustable LED flood lights on bull horns. After all those things are figured out you still have one more step before moving forward. How bright do you want you parking lot or commercial building to be. This is done usually as a photometric evaluation, which we offer for free. Provide us with a PDF (with complete dimensions) or a CAD file (.dwg of .dwf) and we can start the process of designing your parking lot lighting project. Since we know the parameters we can now show you exactly what you need to stay in the guide lines you have.
Normally using the LED flood style light fixtures (adjustable) you can usually use less poles and lights because you can angle the fixtures and cover a lot more area. Using the LED shoe box for lighting the parking lot you pole spacing becomes a more critical as the light will only reach its normal design parameters, so most of the time you use more light poles and light fixtures. Lighting from the inside of a parking lot will also save you lights and poles compared to parameter style lighting.
